C&D Landfill/Quarry

Larkin Excavating purchased the Construction and Demolition (C&D) landfill from Leavenworth County in 2003. It had previously served as a landfill for Leavenworth County prior to our purchase, with extensive renovations and updates it became a very valuable asset in our market with the Fort Leavenworth renovation projects and various demolition projects in the vicinity of Leavenworth County.

Larkin Excavating works closely with Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and all local authorities to operate and maintain not only a safe but a very environmentally friendly atmosphere. After the complete renovation of the C&D landfill Larkin Excavating elected to utilize the natural resources available onsite and operate it as a quarry.

Larkin Excavating purchased a crusher and screen operation in 2008 and began producing aggregates that meets standards for all our jobs. This venture has proven to be not only a benefit to Larkin Excavating but many other contractors as well.
